However, this piece did not originate with 𝑯𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝑷𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔! It was initially designed by James Acheson for Michelle Pfeiffer as Madame De Tourvel in the 1988 film 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑳𝒊𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔. 31 Days of Halloween 2024

This year is going to be a little different with adult ingredients so some nights I will have a queue up in the discord with the movies playing while I have class or am not home but here is our list for the year. I live in Texas and the movies usually happen starting in the afternoon or evening my time but I usually post on here to let everyone know we are starting and post corresponding gifs. My mom likes to travel, and during her travels she likes to let me know about other countries and if and how they celebrate Halloween. So it got me curious...

Please reblog for a larger sample size! Also feel free to tell me in the tags if you celebrate!

EDIT: Because I'm not sure if anyone will read what I posted in the replies in the notes, I've noticed there seems to be confusion about the way I phrased "officially recognized". To try to clarify: when I say "officially recognized", I mean, does your country accommodate and encourage celebration of the holiday? Not necessarily that you get a day off of work for Halloween Day (we don't even get that in most parts of the US as far as I know,) but that it's recognized on the national calendar as a celebrated holiday by a number of people; that Halloween decorations, sweets, and costumes might be sold in stores; and that Halloween parties and trick-or-treating are allowed and encouraged within communities on or around Halloween day.

That's what I'm asking when I ask if your country "officially recognizes" Halloween. Sorry that the phrasing has been confusing for so many people! I hope maybe this makes it a little more clear!

Edgar Allan Poe reigns as the master of the macabre during Halloween.

The YouTube series Edgar Allan Poe’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party featured this familiar wedding dress, worn by Sinead Persaud as Lenore in 2016.

The gown contains a tag that reads “Warner Brothers,” indicating the studio where it originated. It was purchased from @its_a_wrap_clothing, a store that sells clothing from television and films that have ended their production.

But, chances are you recognize this costume from where it most likely originated - the 1994 Friends pilot, where Jennifer Aniston wore it as Rachel Green.
